When you were younger what female inspired you and how/why did they inspire you?

Looking back to my younger years, it was the females in my own family that inspired me.

My mother was and is now still a huge inspiration. She has the most beautiful open mind and heart, always searching for more information to better her life and the lives of those around her.

My older sister, Rowena was a ski racer and had huge goals to be an Olympian. I learned a lot through being a spectator on her journey.

My younger sister Abish was also a huge inspiration too. Even though she was younger, I admired her for so many reasons. she had a huge personality, she was a lover and had a hugely courageous personality… I felt like i had to keep up with her! There is so much to learn from everyone around you, its about learning to be aware and conscious to it.

In your eyes what characteristics make a girl Pretty Powerful?

Gratitude – is one of the most powerful exercises and states to be in. What you put out is what you get back. When you are in a state of Gratitude you can create what you want your day/life to be.

Courage – to know who you are and be who you are. To realise a dream and do everything you can to make that dream a reality.

Grace – to work through the ups and downs with humility, taking them all as a lesson to gain wisdom from.

A young 10-year-old girl dreams of being an Olympian, what advice do you give her?

What a dream!!  The world likes to have us compare ourselves to others. Use others who are doing amazing things to inspire you, to work harder to dream bigger. At the end of the day all you can do is control what you do. Focus on yourself, be self aware and work hard. leave no stone unturned. There will be many lesson in your journey. Look at each one and chose to reframe it to have a positive spin to it.

Whats stopping you? Go Get’em Girls!!

What does the word “motivation” mean to you?
